About Buy a Gift for Kenya

To ensure the total integrity of all donations the following system operates on the ground out in Kenya:

• Details of gifts are emailed to Kenya and decisions on group allocations are communicated to all those involved.
• The money is transferred to Kenya.
• The gifts are purchased. 
• The gifts are then presented by group gatherings attended by Community Board members and staff, invariably with the taking of photographs to record the occasion.
• By collective involvement and total transparency, integrity is assured together with much goodwill.

"Buy a Gift for Kenya" is made available by Amani UK to provide a novel method for expressing gifts from one person to another. It is not intended to be a substitute for giving directly to the charity for use where the need is greatest.

All the costs of operating the Buy a Gift scheme are covered by the Trustees of Amani UK and all of your donation therefore goes to buy your gift in Kenya.

Each gift represents a donation to Amani UK and is therefore eligible for Gift Aid.  Look out for the tick box when ordering to make sure that Amani UK can reclaim tax paid on the cost of your gift.
